Lexy Miles-Hobbs

Lexy was born in West Lavington, Devizes, a small village 10 miles from Stonehenge. She started undergraduate Chemistry at Bristol University in 2011. In 2015, she completed her MSci final year project under the supervision of Prof. Paul Pringle, looking into pyridyl functionalised cage ligands for alkyne methoxycarbonylation. After finishing her degree, Lexy travelled around India (found herself) and in January 2016 she moved back to Bristol to start her PhD with Prof. Paul Pringle. She is currently working on fluorophosphites as ligands in hydroformylation catalysis. Lexy’s main interests outside of the lab include running, yoga and travelling.
