Rachel Doyle

Rachel grew up in Ayr on the west coast of sunny Scotland, before moving to the University of St Andrews in 2012. Her fourth year project, supervised by Professor Russell Morris, involved the synthesis of ADOR zeolites for medical applications, whilst her masters project with Dr Petr Killian focused on investigating the coordination chemistry and synthesis of phospha-stibine ligands. After graduating in 2017, Rachel moved to Bristol to start her PhD on the Bristol Chemical Synthesis CDT program. Rachel is now carrying out her PhD project under the supervision of Professor Paul Pringle and Professor Carmen Galan at the University of Bristol, and Dr Michelle Ma and Professor Phil Blower and King’s College London. Her project focuses on the synthesis of novel diphosphine ligands for applications in SPECT imaging and radiotherapy. In her free time Rachel enjoys cooking, travelling and drinking wine.
